How long does each sessions take?
You will first be seen by a specialist GP to discuss the various options available to you.
The initial dietitian consultation can take between 45-60 minutes. Follow-up visits are required to monitor progress and to continue to optimise our support and your success.
Can being overweight or obese cause health problems?
Yes, being overweight and/or obese can lead to diabetes, elevated
blood pressure, kidney and heart disease. A suitable amount of weight
loss can prevent these conditions from developing. Don’t wait till it’s

How much does it cost?
Costs depend on whether you are using the Medicare Team Care Plan, which has a maximum of 5-visits per year, or private patient payment option. Rebates are available through extras private health cover. Check with your health insurance company first.

- Follow-up consults $70 (20 – 30 minutes)
What does each session consist of?
Your GP will refer you for weight loss if you decide to go through the Team Care arrangement, a GP referral is not required to see an Allied Health Professional if you are paying your own out of pocket expenses, all you need then is to arrange an appointment with our receptionist.
